If you're an expert skier, you'll find Las Leņas challenging, as do the U.S., French and Swiss Olympic teams who make Las Leņas their summer training ground. They come back here to compete in World Cup events with skiers from fifteen different countries.
Whatever your level, you'll find Las Leņas exciting with its 35 miles of downhill trails and some uninterrupted runs of five miles in length, a vertical drop of over 4,000 feet. The 11,253 foot summit is higher than most North American ski mountains. The vast ski area claims the best powder snow in Argentina; some say it is the best in South America. Since the resort can only accommodate 2,200 guests at one time, you won't have to wait long for a lift or feel like you are skiing in a crowd. Las Leņas is served by seven double chairlifts and four t-bars.
The ultramodern resort is set into a treeless wilderness but has a completely self-contained village. Facilities include a well-equipped medical center with staff, a dozen restaurants, supermarket pharmacy, laundry, ski rental and shops, a casino and night clubs.
